
Be it remembered that I Rebekah Beeson of the Borough of Wilmington
and County of Newcastle in the State of Delaware, Widow, being sick
and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory, Blessed
be God in his Mercies, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this
life, and being desirious to settle my Temporal Estate have thought
proper to make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner
as herein after is mentioned, that is to say, First of all it is my
mind and Will that all my just Debts and Funeral expenses be paid out
of my Estate within a reasonable time after my decease by my Executor
herein after named.
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Parthena the wife of John
Vandever Senior the sum of Twenty Cents lawful money of the United
States-
Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Alice the wife of John
Vandever Junior the sum of Twenty Cents like money aforesaid,-
Item I five and bequeath unto my son Thomas Beeson the sum of Twenty
Cents like money aforesaid,-
Item I give and bequeath to my Son Jonathan Beeson all that his
obligation to me Dated the eighteenth day of April one thousand seven
hundred and eighty six, for twenty five pounds, ten Shillings
Principal and all the Interest that has accrued or shall accrue on the
same,-
Item I give and bequeath to my Son in law John Elliott all his
obligation to me for Sixty five Pounds Principal and all the monies
due and to become due thereon, I also give and bequeath to my said son
in law John Elliott and his wife Rebekah, my daughter, all my
household goods and kitchen furniture of every kind and nature
whatsoever.
Item All the rest and residue of my Estate Real, personal, or mixed,
in money, rights or credits or of what kind or nature soever, that is
not herein before otherwise disposed of, I give and bequeath the same
to the six sons of my aforesaid son in law John Elliott and his wife
my said Daughter Rebekah to be equally divided amongst their said six
sons, namely, William Elliott, Thomas Elliott, John Elliott, Lewis
Elliott, Edward Elliott, and James Elliott share and share alike and
to be put to Interest for them on good security within one year after
my deceaseand paid to them with all the Interest accrued thereon when
they shall respectively arrive at the age of Twenty one years by their
Guardian herein after appointed, And my mind and will further is that
if either or any of the said six sons of my Daughter Rebekah shall
happen to die under age and without lawful issue, that then and in
such case the share or Shares of those so dying shall go to the
survivors or survivor of them share and share alike-
And I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my aforesaid Son in
law John Elliott, whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and
Testament, I also appoint him Guardian of the persons of his aforesaid
six sons, and of the Estates which I have bequeathed to them-
And I do hereby Revoke, annul and make void all and every other will,
and wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this and no
other to be my last Will and Testament, In Witness whereof I Rebekah
Beeson the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and Seal this first day
of November in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and
Thirteen.

pronounced and Declared by the said Rebekah Beeson the Testatrix as
and for her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who
subscribed our names hereunto as evidences at her request, in her
presence and in the presence of each other.
