
John Carroll "Jack" Albaugh, 55, of Westminster, died suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at his home.
Born July 29, 1949, in New Windsor, he was the son of the late James Millard Albaugh and Charlotte Weller Albaugh.
He was a 1967 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
A lifelong carpenter, he resided in Hibbing, Minn., from 1972 to 1977 and worked as a carpenter with Ed Martin. After returning to Carroll County, he became the owner/operator of J.C.A. & Sons Inc. Home Improvement Company, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1510 of Hibbing, Minn., the National Rifle Association and the Maryland Saltwater Sport Fishermen's Association. He was an avid ice fisherman and enjoyed hunting and card playing.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law James Norman and Becky Albaugh, and Dustin John and Brooke Albaugh, all of Westminster; grandchildren Cheyenne, Amber and Dakota Albaugh; sister Virginia Lee Long of New Windsor; two nieces; and three nephews.
He was predeceased by brother James Allen Albaugh.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, with the Rev. Carroll Brown, retired pastor, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
